For this painting, Dominic Virtosu has decided to explore precisely that part of the brain that gives us that edgy feeling of doing “the right thing” even when we are not quite really sure how that comes about.The entire work, from start to finish, is painted using oil colors and spray paints, and only with the left hand – proven to be linked to the right part of the brain.

This creation, depicting a huge cactus, is abundant with freshness and energy: surprising alternations of colors and hues play around on the canvas almost like fireworks.The artists’ aim was to question his own practice and to create something truly unique and un-planned – something based on intuition and feeling.
